Imaging the sub-surface using seismic waves

- Reflection and
Refraction seismic group carries out field acquisition, processing and
interpretation of both normal incidence and wide-angle
reflection/refraction seismic data for both deep crustal and near
surface studies. The majority of the studies have
been over the Baltic Shield, however, the size of the natural laboratory
has been increasing recently with projects in the Ural Mountains in
Russia , Iceland and Iberia. The group has also been
involved in borehole geophysics and was involved in the interpretation
of both seismic and gravity data from the Gravberg-1 borehole in the
Siljan impact structure.
